We had a fantastic time at this self-catering lodge. Angusina, our friendly host, helped us organize a memorable hiking trip in Skye. the lodge itself was cosy and quiet, with a beautiful terrace where we could observe horses, cows, and birds. It was perfect for our large group, with plenty of bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, and dining area. the owners greeted us warmly upon arrival and sent us off in the morning. The lodge was spotless, with a lovely fire in the fireplace, and the self-service breakfast, which even included eggs, was delicious. Cons: None. 😊.

We had a wonderful stay at Achmore! The setting was superb, the accommodation was comfortable, and the hosts were very helpful. We loved the cosy woodburner and the stunning views from the veranda. The location was perfect for walks and exploring local places, as well as a convenient base for visiting the Isle of Skye. Our room, although basic and small, provided the best night's sleep with comfy beds and fresh, clean bedding. The wet room and communal living room and kitchen were all spacious and well-maintained.
Couldn't recommend this place more!

We stayed at Achmore, a lovely and secluded lodge for our hiking trip in Skye. The twin room was basic but had incredibly comfy beds and a quiet atmosphere for a great night's sleep. The wet room was spotlessly clean and the living room with a veranda offered breathtaking views. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the communal kitchen and dining area were perfect for groups. one of our favorite places on our trip.
Would recommend this hotel.

We got great value for our money with a basic yet comfortable room, fine views, and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Angusina who assisted us with our hiking trip in Skye.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better would be a wider variety of options.

I had such a good stay at this secluded accommodation. The fine views and location were perfect for walks and exploring the beautiful surroundings. The room I stayed in was basic but comfortable, with cozy beds and a spotlessly clean wet room. The communal living room and veranda were a great addition, offering panoramic views. The owners were warm and kind, even calling a restaurant to save us a table when we arrived late. The breakfast was tasty, and they even cooked me eggs. The setting was superb, and the woodburner in the accommodation was a cozy touch. The hosts were helpful, great to charge our electric car overnight. The lodge itself was nice and quiet, with the added bonus of observing nearby animals from the terrace. I had a great experience and would recommend this accommodation for its hospitality and comfortable stay.

Good location for crossing to Isle of Skye. Basic but comfy twin room with a good night's sleep. Spacious and clean wet room with quality toiletries and towels. Lovely living room with panoramic views. Can be booked as a whole house or individual rooms.
The pricing is a little high compared to other B&Bs in the area. We were under the impression it was an apartment, but it turned out to be an en-suite bedroom in a B&B.

Stunning views, great location for walks and visiting local places. Snuggly beds and fresh duvets. Big living room, well-equipped kitchen. Friendly hosts.
Oh dear, it was just someone's house, not "serious" enough for me. And who needs reception and WiFi in the middle of nowhere anyway?

The setting of this accommodation was absolutely spectacular, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The accommodations were very comfortable, especially with the cozy woodburner that kept us warm during our stay. The hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming, even allowing us to charge our electric car overnight. they accommodated us at short notice which was a lifesaver after being let down at another property. a great jumping off point for exploring the Isle of Skye and a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Although this property was comfortable and had everything we needed, it did feel a bit outdated and could benefit from some updates in the near future. the location being quite remote could be a disadvantage for some as the nearest village is about a 20-minute drive away.
